UMG, the global leader in music entertainment, holds a premier roster of artists worldwide. At the time of our collaboration, UMG was preparing for a highly anticipated IPO. Franco Studios partnered with UMG's internal creative team to develop the visual identity and presentation system for their 2021 “Global Fan Summit,” an internal annual insights event.

Amid the pandemic, the “Global Fan Summit” would be held remotely for the first time, connecting UMG teams worldwide. Our collaboration also coincided with Richelle Parham's appointment as UMG’s President of Global E-Commerce and Business Development. Under her team’s direction, we crafted a cohesive visual identity and brand system designed for easy sharing and access across global teams, marking the beginning of her leadership tenure with a unified, impactful brand experience.
We explored numerous iterations of identity marks and presentation templates to capture the tone and expression that would represent this new era of leadership. After developing over 50 logo variations and potential event titles, the final name “Global Fan Summit” was selected for the 2021 edition. We created a comprehensive design system for the branded event, complete with custom illustrations, brand guidelines, and a presentation framework optimized for UMG's internal tools, ensuring seamless access for global teams. Additionally, internal marketing materials were produced to generate awareness and build excitement for the event across the company.
